Program Overview

Our bachelor of science in artificial intelligence integrates programming and software engineering with specialized AI coursework. You will advance from core foundations - Python, data structures, algorithms, probability and statistics - into machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, and responsible AI. The curriculum emphasizes practical deployment, reliability, and human-centered design so you can build systems that are usable, transparent, and secure.

Along the way, you will gain skills in model training and evaluation, data wrangling, cloud computing, API integration, and DevOps for scalable AI. You will also strengthen teamwork, communication, project management, and ethical decision-making—critical capabilities for explaining complex technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences. This degree in AI ensures you graduate with portfolio-ready projects and confidence in real-world environments.

Our AI faculty have been engaged in graduate-level teaching at the University of New Haven over the past six years and are excited to offer the Bachelor's in AI program as a natural extension of that program to undergraduate students.
