Entrepreneurial Minded Learning (EML)
The Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN) is interested in fostering an
entrepreneurial mindset in engineering students. An entrepreneurial mindset involves
curiosity about our changing world, integrating information from various resources
to gain insight, and identifying unexpected opportunities to create value. The goal
is for KEEN schools to identify, nurture, and develop entrepreneurially minded engineers
who will contribute to our national economic prosperity and secure individual fulfillment
through a lifetime of meaningful work.
Since 2011, the University of New Haven has been an active member of a select group of institutions invited by the Kern Family Foundation to join KEEN. With the foundation’s and the network’s support we have initiated a number of exciting curricular and extracurricular activities. We invite you to learn about each through the following pages.
