MBA / Master of Science Dual MBA/Master’s in Industrial Engineering

The Tagliatela College of Engineering has always encouraged interdisciplinary studies. To address the growing demand and need for business acumen along with engineering and technical expertise in industry, the University of New Haven created the MBA/M.S.I.E. dual degree program.

A dual degree program

To foster a broader expertise in the areas of business administration and industrial engineering, a student can earn degrees in both fields by successfully completing this dual degree program. Offering 68.5 credits of coursework (with the potential to waive up to 4.5 credits from the business foundation), the program draws from foundational credits in business areas like management, finance, and accounting along with 30 credits in industrial engineering topics such as operations research, quality analysis, and system simulation.

Admissions Requirements

Students joining the program are expected to have an undergraduate engineering or technical degree from an ABET-accredited program.

Dual Research Projects

Students complete separate MBA and industrial engineering research projects. These projects are the culmination of the learning that took place during the coursework and are chosen with the help of program advisors. Many past research projects were based on local industry needs.
