About Yevgeniya

As a long-time math educator, scholar, and leader, I am passionate about the field of mathematics, namely history and recreational mathematics, its relevance in our daily lives, and the experiences of math students. My research interests are student mathematical attitudes & engagement, academic leader professional development & self-efficacy, and extracurricular initiatives for at-promise youth.

In addition to my teaching and administrative roles, I am involved in extracurricular programming for our students and the greater New Haven community. I am the co-founder and co-director of the All-Girls Math Academy at the University of New Haven, established in July 2015. This work has continued into my co-founding and leading the co-educational Excellence in Math and Coding Chargers program. In addition, I founded and facilitated our annual Math Carnavale. I have also led multiple service-learning projects with students. Please reach out if you have an idea and need help making it happen.
