About Rebecca

I’m Rebecca Jeffery, the Director of Clinical Education for the Physician Associate Program at the University of New Haven and a 1993 graduate of Emory University’s PA Program. I bring over 30 years of experience in pediatric medicine, much of it spent serving families in underserved communities across Connecticut.

In this role, I’m committed to mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers—helping students become well-rounded, compassionate, and capable physician associates. At the heart of our program is a patient-centered approach. We emphasize not only clinical excellence but also the vital skills of communication, empathy, and advocacy.

Our students receive hands-on, real-world training in a variety of healthcare settings through partnerships with experienced clinical preceptors. These immersive learning opportunities are designed to build both competence and confidence as students prepare for their careers.
